We woke up this morning to about 3 inches of snow on everything. And what's more, Portland decided that it was going to have sub-zero wind chill temperatures and a frozen layer of rain on the sidewalks beneath the snow.
I AM NOT AMUSED.
And I'd just like to clarify that when I said a few posts ago that I was ready for winter, what I meant was, um, I am not ready for winter. I think I was thinking of like, 35 degree weather and a charming dusting of snow. But then again, as I said before, this is Maine. I guess I should expect this by now. Ugh. The countdown to spring begins.
It has been sunny, beautiful, and cold here today. I don't mind the rain so much, but I was actually getting pretty tired of the 60 degree weather we'd been having. I mean, this is Maine! In November/December! Bring on the winter.
So I haven't showered, done homework, or left the house yet today, but I did do something I have been meaning to do for weeks: cleaned my sewing/crafting area.
I can't believe I didn't take pictures of the space before it was cleaned. It was unbelievable. Sometimes if we are trying to clean the rest of the house, all of the random crap that is lying around the rest of the rooms gets stashed back here.
So now that it's cleaned, my goal is to keep it clean. It is so much easier to craft when I don't have to dig through piles of stuff to find what I need. It also actually makes me want to use the space, instead of just avoiding my projects. Maybe I'll actually get the 700 projects I had planned for Christmas done now...then again, maybe not. ;)
